Flying in

From Melbourne to Port Kembla.

Fly from Melbourne Airport or Avalon into Sydney Airport. Melbourne to Sydney is one of the busiest routes in the world, so there are flights at almost every hour. From Sydney Airport it’s about 75 minutes by car to Port Kembla. Without a car, take the airport line to Wolli Creek and change to a South Coast Line train, or arrange a transfer.

Wait until your dates are confirmed and your deposit is paid before you book flights.

Time zone

Plan around the clock.

Victoria and New South Wales share a time zone and both use daylight saving, so there’s no time difference to plan around.

Planning the trip

A trip that works.

  • Day one: fly into Sydney and drive south.
  • Day two: your session.
  • Day three: fly home, or take a rest day on the coast.

Flights are frequent enough to book late in the day, but don’t plan to fly home the same evening as a full-day session.

Heading home

Flying with a fresh tattoo.

Flying home after a session is usually fine. Wear loose clothing, keep the tattoo clean and covered as instructed, and avoid long periods pressing on it. Aftercare comes by email, with a check-in after a week and a healed-photo request at around eight weeks.
